Qualifying Criteria § Students must be a current resident of Georgia, and a high school senior § Must be planning to attend a two or four year institution of higher learning § The mother is not in home; either due to death, or other unfortunate circumstances § Priority is given to students whose total family income is less than $50,000/year § Student must maintain a GPA of 2.0 or better § Student must be a full time student 12 hours or better § Student must agree to supply semester grades to committee for continued support § Student must agree to serve on advisory board after completing their education § Legal guardian’s may apply on behalf of their student § Applications are accepted between Sept. 1st and December 31st Scholarships are $4,000 each. The number of scholarships awarded is determined by the amount of funds raised each year. A committee will review the essays and possibly talk with the qualified applicants to determine the greatest need.
